Luanda: The Angolan government, through the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE), plans to install 1.26 million prepaid meters across the country's 21 provinces by the end of 2026. According to Angola Press News Agency, this project commenced in August 2024, with funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB). The initiative represents an investment of 211 million US dollars aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing relationships with consumers. The project will enable the Angolan government to better provide electricity to citizens, an essential commodity for society and the well-being of families.
