Luanda: The Health Ministry officially launched the Clinical Neurophysiology Training Support Program on Thursday through the Implementation Unit of the Human Resources Training Project for Universal Health Coverage in Angola (UIP).
According to Angola Press News Agency, Job Monteiro, the UIP training coordinator, stated that this pioneering initiative aims to strengthen the technical skills of Angolan health professionals in this "highly specialized area." It is also a decisive step in strengthening the National Health System. "The national health system is committed to continuous training and innovation to ensure better care for citizens," said Monteiro.
The 12-month Clinical Neurophysiology Training Support Course consists of six modules: Basic Neuroscience, Electrophysiology, Electroencephalography, Polysomnography, Intraoperative Monitoring, and Evoked Potentials. The program also includes a practical internship abroad.
The event took place at the Viana Bispo Emlio de Carvalho General Hospital and was attended by national and international figures, as well as world-renowned neuroscience specialists, doctors, and students of the program.
