Angolan Finance Minister Engages with US Investors for 2025 Strategy

Boston: An Angolan delegation led by the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, is currently in the United States to engage with investors as part of a strategic plan for proactive involvement with international capital markets for the year 2025.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the initiative, coordinated by the Debt Management Unit (UGD), aims to present the progress of Angola's macroeconomic indicators over recent years. This engagement is designed to keep investors informed and provide them with up-to-date information necessary for making informed decisions about credit risk investments in Angola.

The document highlights that this strategy is crucial for strengthening the national economy, boosting international investor confidence, and reducing financing costs, underscoring Angola's commitment to responsible and sustainable financial management.

The initiative commenced with the presentation of the Annual Debt Plan (PAE) and included a tour of the Middle East, covering Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. The tour is expected to conclude by the end of March as part of a non-deal roadshow.

Besides Boston, the delegation's itinerary includes meetings in New York.
