Angola to Host “Colors of Peace” Competition for the First Time

Luanda: Angola will host the "Colors of Peace" competition on April 4 to 5, which aims, among other things, to promote values that contribute to a culture of peace and unity among people, social inclusion, and tourism. The initiative of the Angola-Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association was presented on Saturday evening in Luanda and will be held for the first time in Angola.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the president of the Angola-Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association, Josefa Albino, mentioned that children between the ages of six and 12 will portray the benefits of peace in different areas through painting on canvas. The association is currently collaborating with provincial governments, through the Departments of Culture and Tourism, public and private schools, among other institutions, to facilitate the competition.

Nuno Caldas Albino, the founding member of the Angola-Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association and Secretary of State for Media, expressed support for the initiative, highlighting the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that this project should be embraced by society as it promotes the values of peace and fraternity and underscores the importance of preserving achievements across various fields.

The competition, previously promoted in 20 countries by the Italian association Colors of Peace, will be organized in Angola for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the African nation.
