Luanda: The Angolan-Swiss Chamber of Commerce has donated nine million kwanzas to aid the Santa Isabel Children’s Home charity project.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the donation was announced in Luanda during the first Charity Gala Dinner organized by the Chamber. The president of the association, Carlos Magalhães, mentioned that the funds, contributed by companies affiliated with the council, will be allocated to purchase school supplies and essential goods for the 180 children in need at the foster home.
Carlos Magalhães emphasized the importance of integrating sustainable economic development with social initiatives to enhance business relations between Angola and Switzerland. He stated that the Charity Gala Dinner represents their commitment and serves as a platform to unite efforts for a shared objective. Magalhães also highlighted that supporting the children’s home is not merely a financial contribution but an investment in Angola’s future leaders, educators, and professionals.
