Stuttgart: Angola's tourism potential will be on display from January 16 to 20 this year at the CMT (Caravan Motor Tourist) International Tourism Fair in Stuttgart, Germany, putting the country's name on the map at one of the world's largest leisure, tourism, and caravanning events. The Angolan delegation is headed by the Minister of Tourism, Marcio Daniel.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the fair, which takes place annually at Messe Stuttgart, brings together more than 2,100 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing the best tourist destinations, culture and tradition, investments in infrastructure, and other varieties of products and services. CMT presents holiday ideas, travel destinations for everyone, the latest in camping and caravanning, as well as a tourist entertainment program, which includes lectures on travel, sport, wellness, cruise ships, and culture.
Angola's participation in the Stuttgart Tourism Exhibition is an opportunity for the country to showcase its tourism potential and attract investors and tourists. In 2025, the Angolan Government, through its embassy in Germany, received the honorable distinction and announcement from the German government, in recognition of the fact that, in recent years, the country has strengthened its tourism sector and its strategic commitment to sustainable development and economic diversification.
The nomination also marks Angola's return to ITB Berlin, a decade after its last formal presence in 2015. This time, it returns not as a participant, but as an official host, taking on a prominent role in one of the largest economic and cultural events on the planet. Last December, the Angolan government approved an important legislative package for the tourism sector, with a direct impact on administrative simplification, investment promotion, economic diversification, and Angola's international projection.
