Angola Participates in AI Summit in Paris

Paris: Angola is participating in a high-level summit on Artificial Intelligence Action in Paris, France, which began on Monday, February 10. The summit, promoted by the French government, will conclude on Wednesday, February 12. Representing the Angolan Head of State at the summit is the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Ado de Almeida, who is leading the Angolan delegation.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the summit gathers significant figures from the global political, technological, and business sectors. Notable attendees include the UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, the Head of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen, the US Vice-President JD Vince, and several CEOs of major global tech companies.

The first day of the summit focused on interaction and technical discussions. On Tuesday, February 11, the high-level event featured opening and closing sessions led by the French President, Emmanuel Macron.

President Macron also hosted a dinner at the Palais de l'‚¬Å¡¬°lys©e for Heads of State, directors of international organizations, and government representatives from numerous countries.

The summit is set against the backdrop of exploring opportunities for adopting public policies and regulating the use of artificial intelligence in Angola, highlighting its growing significance in contemporary times.
