Luanda: Angola-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce chairperson, Célia Cipriano, on Monday in Luanda expressed her intention to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and tourism in both countries. Speaking during the 2nd edition of the ‘Diplomatic Conversations’ space, which addressed the theme ‘Opportunities and challenges in the national market’, the official said that the Mozambican business class is interested in visiting Angola in the near future to discover new areas of investment.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Célia Cipriano emphasized that Mozambican businessmen are keen to visit Angola to share their experiences, particularly in the tourism and agricultural sectors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance economic ties and explore mutually beneficial investment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Thomas Gerrard Reis, president of the Angola-UK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed interest in attracting entrepreneurs from the pharmaceutical industry to Angola. He highl
ighted the potential for investment in producing medicines, gauze, wound dressing, ethyl alcohol, and other related products. Reis acknowledged Angola as a promising investment destination but stressed the importance of investing in human capital as a key factor for success.
Jerónimo Pongolola, executive director of AIPEX, announced Angola’s plans to expand the internationalisation of its beverage production companies. This initiative aims to supply national fleets in international markets and also to introduce Angolan tropical fruits to neighboring African markets.
Additionally, Virdes José, director of planning of the Special Economic Zone, noted that the meeting provided an opportunity for investors to explore business possibilities and opportunities. He emphasized the potential for economic collaboration and growth through such engagements.
Finally, Narciso Faz Tudo, the mentor and founder of the Diplomatic Conversations project, explained that the event, held quarterly, aims to address global and dipl
omatic issues extending beyond national boundaries, while showcasing the quality of human capital on an international scale.
