Seville: Angola plans to extend cooperation with Spain beyond the agriculture, fisheries, health and higher education sectors, the Angolan ambassador to the Iberian country, Balbina da Silva, said on Sunday in Seville. The head of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission, who was speaking to the press as part of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, noted the Spanish Government’s special attention to Angola, which is listed as a priority in its diplomatic strategy.

According to Angola Press News Agency, there is a large number of Spanish businessmen and more than 20 Spanish companies operating in Angola. Da Silva highlighted the interest in exporting Angolan products, such as fruits, to Spain. She mentioned a recent meeting with Spanish businessmen who expressed a desire to import fruit from Angola.
