Angola Engages in Strategic Partnership Talks at Russia-Africa Meeting in Cairo

Cairo: Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister T©te Antonio is participating in the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Russia-Africa Strategic Partnership, which commenced on Friday in Cairo, Egypt, with the objective of enhancing political and economic dialogue between Russia and African nations.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting aims to monitor and promote the implementation of the 2023-2026 Action Plan of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum. This plan was established following the inaugural meeting held in 2019. The event, marking its first occurrence on African soil, is centered on fostering cooperation in trade, investment, and the economy, as well as exploring opportunities to deepen both bilateral and multilateral relations between Russia and the African continent.

Over 50 African countries are anticipated to partake in the event, alongside representatives from African regional organizations. The main areas of Russian-African cooperation, as defined in the Partnership Forum Action Plan for 2023-2026, encompass security, energy, trade, education, science, and culture.
