Luanda: Angola participates in a presidential dialogue on Sunday, dedicated to the theme 'Mobilizing economic opportunities in service of sustainable development', at the 11th summit of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the session is chaired by the Head of State of Gabon, Brice Clot¡rio Oligui Nguema. Angola is represented by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Isaac dos Anjos. The summit aims to address key strategies for integrating sustainable development into economic growth initiatives across member states.
On Saturday, the outgoing OACPS leader, Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o, officially handed over the rotating presidency of the organization to Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. This transition marks a new chapter in the leadership of the organization, which seeks to enhance cooperation among its members.
The Summit, which began on Saturday, was preceded by an extraordinary Council of Ministers meeting. An Angolan delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the discussions, emphasizing Angola's commitment to fostering international cooperation for sustainable development.
