Cuito: The head of LS Republicano, Fernando In¡cio Republicano, described the "Angola 50 Years" festival in Cuito, Bi© province, as an essential factor of national unity and a revival of values. The remarks were made during an interview with ANGOP following the conclusion of the festival, highlighting the strong participation of the local community.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Fernando Republicano emphasized the festival's role in fostering unity and celebration, underscoring the significance of multicultural interaction in strengthening relationships among people with shared goals and values. The "Angola 50 Years" festival, supported by the Angolan Government in collaboration with promoters LS Republicano and Arca Velha, featured performances by prominent artists such as Eduardo Paim, Yola Araºjo, and others.
The event also showcased musicians and singers, including Draem Boiz, Soarito, Sarissari, and talent from the local area. Additionally, the comedian "General Foge a Tempo" captivated the audience with a play about the Cuito War, which received enthusiastic applause at the Solidarity Square.
Throughout the festival, attendees celebrated culture and 50 years of national sovereignty with music, dance, and a sense of patriotic pride. Musicians highlighted the importance of independence and the need to promote cultural values for national development. Prominent themes included strengthening Angolan cultural identity, valuing past achievements, preserving peace, and consolidating democracy.
The festival created an emotional atmosphere, uniting young people, teenagers, children, and members of the Bi© State Government, who expressed their joy during performances. The acting governor of Bi©, Jos© Fernando Chatuvela, was also in attendance, adding to the event's significance.
