An Association Provides Food to 40 Vulnerable People in Sourou Province

Sourou: The Faso Landa cultural association, composed of Burkinabe living in Italy, donated food worth 500,000 FCFA to 40 vulnerable people, including internally displaced persons from the Sourou province, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Tougan.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consists of 40 bags of rice and cans of oil, with each beneficiary receiving one bag of rice and one can of oil. The association's representative, Aboudou Tiama, explained that this gesture is part of a dynamic of solidarity towards internally displaced persons living in the commune of Tougan.

Tiama stated, "The association felt it necessary to support internally displaced persons. It is in this spirit that its members mobilized to offer this donation worth 500,000 FCFA in order to show them their solidarity."

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Sima Koussoub expressed gratitude to the Faso Landa association for this gesture of solidarity. She noted that this donation would provide relief to beneficiaries during this difficult time in terms of food security and wished the association continued success while inviting other well-wishers to support vulnerable people.

It is worth recalling that the Faso Landa association has already awarded trophies and certificates to several sons and daughters of Burkina Faso who have distinguished themselves in the social, cultural, humanitarian, and economic fields.
