American University Trains 28 International Trainers in Leadership and Organizational Management in Burkina Faso

OUAGADOUGOU — Twenty-eight international trainers have completed a comprehensive training program in leadership and organizational management, facilitated by Impact University of Leadership and International Development (IULEAD), aimed at equipping participants with skills for a paradigm shift in their professional and personal lives.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Professor Israel Foumane Meba, the program is designed to revolutionize thinking patterns among the participants. Professor Foumane emphasized the need to move away from traditional methods of thinking, encouraging participants to adopt new approaches. He described two types of thinking—lateral and vertical—highlighting that lateral thinkers are more adaptable and open to change, while vertical thinkers tend to resist change and cling to established methods.

The training also covered modules on research methodology, communication, and adult education. Participants were awarded certificates in leadership, coaching, and management. The objective of the program, as outlined by Professor Foumane, is to create a critical mass of facilitators who can disseminate the knowledge throughout Burkina Faso, promoting a societal shift towards peace and prosperity.

Pastor Philippe W. Yaméogo, one of the participants, expressed his readiness to apply the knowledge gained to positively impact his community. The training concluded with the establishment of a committee representing IULEAD in Burkina Faso, tasked with providing information to prospective students and handling administrative procedures for the university's official representation in the country.

Courses at IULEAD are offered online, face-to-face, and in hybrid formats, catering to diverse learning needs.
