Ambrosius Kumbwa Elected President of All People’s Party


RUNDU — The All People’s Party (APP) elected Ambrosius Kumbwa as its new President for a five-year term, culminating a three-day national congress in Rundu this past weekend.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the congress, which began on Friday and concluded on Sunday, also saw the election of Linus Mutjila as Vice President. Additionally, Faustinus Wakudumo was elected as the national chairperson with Christiana Gowases serving as deputy chairperson. Marius Goraseb was chosen as secretary general, with Anastasia Mbathera stepping in as vice secretary general. The party further filled positions within its central committee.



In his acceptance speech, Kumbwa expressed his gratitude towards the party members for their support and reiterated his commitment to the party’s mission of enacting positive change. He emphasized the importance of unity and dedication to the party’s core values and principles.



“Together we can overcome any challenge, big or small. Let us not give up in the spirit of unity and progress,” Kumbwa urged his party members.
