Ambassador Edwin Pitty Madrid Presents Letters of Credence to Strengthen Burkina Faso-Panama Relations

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, received the letters of credence from Edwin Pitty Madrid, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to Burkina Faso, this Friday morning.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Panamanian diplomat was born on January 3, 1978, in Panama City and holds degrees in law and political science, criminology, and business. Edwin Pitty Madrid has served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to the Republic of Cuba since November 2024. He resides in Havana, Cuba.

Diplomatic relations between Burkina Faso and the Republic of Panama were formalized in July 2011 through a joint communique signed in Havana. Both nations have identified potential areas for cooperation, including the agri-food industry, education, services, and environmental initiatives.
