Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, will have a meeting tomorrow, Friday, October 8, at 10:30 am, with the Federal Minister for the EU and Constitution of Austria, Karoline Edtstadler, who is visiting Athens. The meeting will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Venizelos Hall, 2 Zalokosta St.). The bilateral talks will be followed by statements to the press.
The agenda includes an exchange of views on issues of European interest, such as the Enlargement of the European Union, the Conference on the Future of Europe, migration, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, climate change, the management of the pandemic and other regional and bilateral issues.
Then, an event titled “Let’s listen to the future” will follow in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe (1 Akadimias st, 7th floor). During the event, postgraduate students from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Panteion University with specialization in the fields of international and European relations and international law will have the opportunity to talk with the two Ministers. They will exchange views with them on their expectations and concerns for the Europe of tomorrow and, among other things, they will discuss climate change, migration and the post-Covid era.
