Burkina: The Head of State urges young people not to “be afraid” to undertake

The Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, on Saturday urged Burkinabè youth not to be afraid to undertake, despite the difficulties they may encounter.

“Don’t be afraid to undertake, you have to get started, it’s hard, it’s often very hard. You will stumble, you will often find yourself on your knees, as some would say…, enjoy, say a prayer. Press the pose, get up and walk!” urged the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The President of the Transition spoke on Saturday in Ouagadougou on the occasion of International Youth Day.

“I encourage you not to be discouraged for those who are trying to start a business. Never be discouraged. The path is always full of pitfalls. But, you must not stop because you will end up reuniting,” he urged.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré said the government has put in place initiatives to support youth in entrepreneurship.

“We will not ask you to start from scratch but there is a minimum to accompany you and help you,” he said.

According to him, the government has also implemented a tax exemption policy to support young companies so that they “do not face certain difficulties from the first years (of creation)”.

In addition, according to the Head of State, even those who have jobs, should not be content with it.

They must seek to invest in “parallel” to create jobs for others.

“Our salary must be used to develop something else,” insisted Ibrahim Traoré.

He also lambasted the “fairly complex system”, which “taught us to have a job, a desk and you sit down, the salary falls at the end of the month”.
