Onyaanya, Namibia – A serious allegation of rape has been reported in Onyaanya village, Oshikoto Region, involving a 27-year-old male nurse. The incident is said to have occurred around 00h00 on Sunday, involving a 36-year-old female victim.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), in a crime update issued on Monday, the nurse allegedly entered the complainant’s bedroom and had non-consensual sexual intercourse with her. The report details that the complainant and the suspect were drinking together at the bar in Wakema complex before the incident. The complainant left the suspect at the bar to sleep, only to later find him on top of her without knowing how he entered her room. It was also noted that there is no known intimate relationship between the complainant and the suspect, who is employed at the Okatope Health Centre. The suspect has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
