Algeria has been chosen as the host country for the fourth Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025), set to occur in 2025. The announcement was made by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Intra-African Trade Fair and former President of Nigeria, during the Presidential Summit of the third Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023) in Cairo.

According to Africa News Agency, Algeria’s selection followed a thorough evaluation of bids by the Advisory Council. He congratulated the government and people of Algeria for winning the bid and expressed anticipation for the 2025 event in Algiers. Algeria will be the third nation to host the IATF, following Egypt’s hosting of the inaugural edition in 2018 in Cairo and the second edition in Durban, South Africa, in 2021. The 2023 edition of the trade fair also took place in Cairo.
