Algeria and Turkey Strengthen Ties with New Cooperation Agreements

Algeria/Turkey – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have signed several cooperation agreements, enhancing the bilateral relationship between Algeria and Turkey.

According to Africa News Agency, These agreements, encompassing various sectors, were formalized at the headquarters of the Algerian Presidency following discussions between the two leaders. A key aspect of these agreements is the continuation of Turkey’s annual purchase of 4.4 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas from Algeria, with the current contract, originally set to expire in October 2024, now extended until 2027.
