GOURCY — Alexandre Karzoum Zongo was formally installed as the new Provincial Director of Public Procurement Control and Financial Commitments of Zondoma on Monday, July 8, 2024, following his recent appointment by the Council of Ministers.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Zongo was appointed to his new role on May 22, 2024, by the Council of Ministers and officially took office in July. The inauguration event was presided over by the high commissioner of the Zondoma province, Aboubacar Sidiki Nabé, and attended by regional dignitaries including the Regional Director of Public Procurement and Financial Commitments in the North, Isidore W. Modeste Béré, as well as Zongo’s family, friends, and colleagues.

Mr. Zongo succeeds Hervé N Somda, who served in the position for four years and six months. Somda will now transition to a new role as Regional Director of Public Procurement Control and Financial Commitments for the Sahel, based in Dori, the capital of Séno province.
