Luanda: Air Maroc, Turkish Airlines Royal, and Asky Airlines are set to begin their operations at the newly inaugurated Dr. Ant³nio Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN) in the province of Icolo e Bengo. This significant development marks a new chapter in the airport's operational capabilities as flights from Casablanca, Istanbul, and Lom© are scheduled to arrive at AIAAN at 6:10 a.m., 3:45 p.m., and 5:00 p.m., respectively.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the move is part of the ongoing process of transferring flights from the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport in Luanda to AIAAN. The Temporary Airport Operator (ATO) and Operational Consulting have emphasized that the integration of these airlines and their routes plays a crucial role in consolidating AIAAN as a strategic hub for international air traffic. This development is expected to significantly strengthen mobility, trade, tourism, and regional and global integration within Angola.

Currently, several major airlines, including TAAG Linhas A©reas de Angola, TAP Portugal, Emirates Airlines, Air France, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and Lufthansa, are operational at Dr. Ant³nio Agostinho Neto International Airport. With the addition of Air Maroc, Turkish Airlines, and Asky Airlines, only the transfer of Air Link from South Africa remains pending.
