Agroecology Workshop Advances Communal Development in Niangoloko

Como: Members of the special communal delegation of Niangoloko and CSOs at the School of Agroecology: The Programme to Support the Agroecological Transition by Civil Society Organizations in West Africa (APAESC-WA) organized a training workshop for members of Niangoloko's special delegation and civil society organizations (CSOs).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the workshop took place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, and was led by a team of trainers from the NGO ARFA, including communicators Guisson Ga«tan, Mrs. Gayri/Oudraogo P. Thr¨se, and Oudraogo Lopold. The session provided a master class on the advantages of agroecological production for public health and the adverse effects associated with the use of certain chemicals.

The primary goal of the workshop was to encourage the members of the special delegation to integrate agroecological production into the Communal Development Plan (PCD). The training emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and their role in community planning and development.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Oussni Oudraogo, president of the special delegation, expressed gratitude towards the NGO members for their informative presentation. He assured the commitment of the Niangoloko communal team to actively promote agroecology as part of their developmental agenda.
