Luanda: The minister of Youth and Sports stated that Angola still has 'a lot to offer' in the Afrobasket 2025 and will surely overcome Cameroon on Saturday, in the semi-final match at the Kilamba pavilion. According to Angola Press News Agency, the statement was made after Angola's 90-80 victory over Cape Verde in the quarterfinals competition. Rui Falco emphasized the need for greater commitment to secure the title, urging the team to deliver their best performance. "This public is amazing. You don't have to ask for it, but a team with this level of support has to leave everything on the court and honor what's being asked of it," Falco expressed. He acknowledged the crucial role of the audience in motivating the team to perform at their peak. The upcoming semi-final will see Angola face off against Cameroon, while the other semi-final, also scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m., will feature a match between Senegal and Mali. Angola boasts a strong basketball history, being an 11-time continental champion, wit h their last tournament victory in 2013.
