Addis ababa: Participants of the First African Defense Ministers Conference visited the Information Network Security Administration (INSA) as part of the three-day event themed “Africa: United in Peace, Strong in Security.” The visit underscores a shared commitment to enhancing security collaboration across the continent.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the delegation, which included African defense ministers, senior military officers, and military attachés based in Addis Ababa, aimed to learn from Ethiopia’s advancements in security sector reform. The conference itinerary also includes visits to the Artificial Intelligence Institute, Ethiopian Federal Police Commission, and the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS).
On Wednesday, the group explored the Headquarters of the Ethiopian Air Force and the Defense Engineering Industry Corporation in Bishoftu, Oromia region. These visits represent a concerted effort to foster greater cooperation and understanding among African nations in defense an
d security technologies.
Ethiopia’s Defense Minister Aisha Mohamed, accompanied by other senior military officials, led the delegation, highlighting the importance of the event in strengthening ties and sharing strategic insights among the participating countries.
