ADDIS ABABA: Claver Gatete, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, stated that Africa requires about $3 trillion every year until 2030 to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals and fulfill the African Union Agenda 2063.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Speaking at the Brookings Event in Washington D.C., Gatete highlighted the critical financial challenges facing the continent, including high debt levels and inadequate financing options, which hinder sustainable development and economic stability across African nations.
