Africa Fashion Time Kicks Off in Luanda, Promoting Angola’s Fashion Industry

Luanda: The Africa Fashion Time, a strategic meeting aimed at developing fashion and clothing in Angola, begins on Saturday in Luanda, focusing on valuing, promoting, and consolidating the industry.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the initiative is led by Angolan designer Nadir Tati and brings together creators, brands, specialists, and agents from across the continent. It aims to reinforce Angola's position in the African creative landscape through fashion shows, artistic and cultural exhibitions, and networking opportunities. The event serves as a convergence point for creativity, production, entrepreneurship, and innovation, which are crucial for the sustainable growth of Angola's fashion industry.

The press release emphasizes that "Africa Fashion Time" is not only vital to the fashion sector and creative economy but also acts as a catalyst for strengthening Angola's fashion ecosystem. Nadir Tati highlights that the textile and clothing sector presents a strategic opportunity for economic diversification, job creation, and internationalization of national talent. The event sees participation from fifteen African countries, featuring designers, models, and other sector specialists.

As a complementary event, a Fashion, Industry, and Clothing Forum was held in Luanda on Thursday. This forum, part of the official "Africa Fashion Time" program, gathered specialists, entrepreneurs, designers, institutional representatives, and academics. The main objectives were to discuss the sector's challenges and opportunities, forge connections between fashion, technology, sustainability, and the market, and promote strategic partnerships between public and private entities.
