Ghana – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has committed to an $80 million financial aid for cocoa processing in Ghana. This substantial funding will be allocated equally between two Ghanaian cocoa processing companies, Niche Cocoa Industries and Plot Enterprise Ghana.
According to Africa News Agency, the bank has formalized this support through two pre-export financing agreements, each worth $40 million. The purpose of this facility is to finance the acquisition of raw cocoa beans, enabling Niche Cocoa Industries and Plot Enterprise Ghana to meet their contractual obligations to buyers.
