Afghanistan Exports Fresh Fruits Worth 143 Million USD in 11 Months

Kabul: Afghanistan has exported fresh fruits worth more than 143 million U.S. dollars over the past 11 months, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Sunday. “Over the past 11 months, about 296,000 tons of fresh fruits, worth over 143 million dollars, were exported,” the ministry’s spokesman Akundzada Abdul Salam Jawad posted on his social media account. The products were mostly exported to Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, China, Britain, the Netherlands, the United States, France, Australia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Canada, the official added.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Jawad’s statement in February highlighted that Afghanistan has exported 115,000 tons of dried fruits valued at 350 million dollars in the past 10 months. Afghanistan has experienced a decline in dried fruit exports compared to the same period last year, which was valued at 388 million dollars.
