Rabat: On the occasion of the 35th AFCON, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) held the preliminary draw for the 36th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 on Tuesday in Rabat, the Moroccan capital. This draw involved the 12 lowest-ranked countries in the CAF football rankings.

According to Burkina Information Agency, following the matches, the six winners will join the 42 teams already qualified for the group stage draw. AFCON 2027 will be held in three countries: Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
