Bamako: AES is committed to standing alongside Mali in the fight against terrorism to the very end. A delegation from the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), led by Burkina Faso's Minister of State for War and Patriotic Defense, Major General Celestin Simpore, expressed its solidarity with the Malian people at the Koulouba Palace following the death of General Sadio Camara, while reaffirming their shared determination to intensify the fight against terrorism. "As long as God gives us the breath of life, we will fight to the end," the head of the delegation declared.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit by the AES delegation signifies a strengthening of ties between the member states in the Sahel region amidst escalating security challenges. The loss of General Sadio Camara, a pivotal figure in Mali's military leadership, has further galvanized efforts to combat terrorism across the region.
