Seville: The countries of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) are actively participating in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development at the FIBES Exhibition and Congress Center in Seville, Spain, which takes place from June 30 to July 3, 2025. During this significant event, the three nations have united to advocate for the collective interests of the AES populations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the participation of these countries underscores their unified commitment to promoting the interests of the Confederation of Sahel States and supporting multilateralism. This joint effort was highlighted by a speech from Malian Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maga, who delivered a powerful message to the international community, focusing on the vision of the AES’s founding fathers.
The foreign ministers of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, alongside Malian ministers responsible for the economy and the environment, engaged in various roundtable discussions and special events. During these sessions, they staunchly defended the common position of the Confederation, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in addressing development financing challenges.
