Aerobics Session in Hound© Kicks Off May 15 Commemorative Activities

Tuy: An aerobics session to launch the May 15 commemorative activities in Hound©. The communities of Hound© held an aerobics session on Monday, May 12, 2025, marking the launch of a community day, as part of the commemorative activities of the Day of Customs and Traditions in Hound©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the aerobics session brought together approximately sixty men and women from several communities and different socio-professional categories on the grounds of the Popular and Leisure Centre (CPL). For approximately 45 minutes, participants practiced muscle strengthening, followed by relaxation exercises to the rhythms of Burkinabe music.

Organized by the special delegation of the commune of Hound©, in collaboration with the decentralized technical services in charge of Humanitarian Action and Culture of Tuy, this activity marks the launch of a community day as part of the commemorative activities of May 15, dedicated to customs and traditions.

On behalf of the organizers, the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action in Tuy stated that the objective is to strengthen social ties and promote social cohesion in the municipality through dance and sports. He maintained that social cohesion is a permanent quest. Brama Traor© therefore invited everyone to take concrete actions to promote social cohesion.

"In Hound©, the different communities live in harmony, and we must work to maintain this climate," he said.

Mr. Traor© thanked the OKDB (Ouagadougou-Koudougou-D©dougou-Bobo-Dioulasso) project of Tuy for its support, through funding from the European Union.

As a reminder, several activities are planned during the period from May 12 to 14, 2025, including a women's cycling race, a maracana tournament, and a community shopping street.
