Nakuru: Agriculture Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mr. Mutahi Kagwe has called on farmers to embrace technology in their agricultural practices to boost productivity, drive agribusiness, and address challenges posed by climate shocks. Speaking during the official opening of the Agricultural Society of Kenya Trade Fair in Nakuru, Kagwe emphasised the need for innovation in the sector, noting that modern farming technologies are key to ensuring food security and building resilience against changing climatic conditions.



According to Kenya News Agency, Kagwe highlighted the potential of technology to transform agriculture by increasing efficiency and output. He urged farmers to integrate tools such as precision farming and data analytics into their operations to better manage resources and mitigate risks associated with unpredictable weather patterns. Kagwe’s remarks reflect a broader push by the government to modernize the agricultural sector and promote sustainable practices among farmers.
