Administrative and Traditional Leaders in Koulp©logo Reaffirm Pledge to Peace and Security

Koulp©logo/yond©: The monthly flag-raising ceremony took place on Monday at the Yondtown hall, presided over by the High Commissioner of Koulp©logo Province, Sadou Ou©draogo. The event brought together administrative and traditional authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and local residents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner was accompanied by a provincial delegation. The ceremony was also attended by Lieutenant Toussaint Yanogo, head of the Yondgendarmerie detachment, as well as officials from the various units of the Defense and Security Forces deployed in the area.

Following the raising of the colours, the High Commissioner and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty Naaba Y©md©, chief of the canton of Yond©. In his address, the canton chief expressed his profound gratitude to the High Commissioner for the visit and conveyed his appreciation to the highest authorities of Burkina Faso, as well as to the regional, provincial, and municipal authorities, for the actions undertaken to restore security and promote development in the community.

His Majesty Naaba Y©mdcommended the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, noting that their contributions facilitated the resettlement of several villages displaced by insecurity. He called upon the spirits of the ancestors to guide the administrative authorities and the fighting forces in their mission to defend the integrity of the national territory.

High Commissioner Sadou Ou©draogo acknowledged the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their work in the Yonddistrict. He encouraged them to sustain their efforts in ensuring the safety of people and property. Addressing the local population, he urged vigilance and cooperation with the armed forces to preserve the security gains achieved. He also praised the resilience of Yond© residents, whose commitment is aiding in the gradual return of stability to the municipality.
