PASSORÉ: The Provincial Directorate of Primary and Non-Formal Preschool Education (DPEPPNF) in Passoré, supported by primary education structures, has donated 723,400 CFA francs to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP). The funds were presented to Daouda Sangaré, the High Commissioner of Passoré, as part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPCC) celebrations. According to Burkina Information Agency, the fundraising initiative was organized by primary school teachers, heads of Basic Education Districts (CCEB), and staff of the DPEPPNF during the second phase of the JEPCC, which took place from October 2 to 16, 2024. This effort was part of a broader program aimed at supporting peace. The collected sum was handed over by Mahamoudou Kiogo, the Provincial Director in charge of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, along with his administrative team. The gesture was positively received by Mr. Sangaré, who acknowledged the educational structures' role in fostering patriotic spirit a nd civic participation. Mr. Kiogo emphasized that the contribution reflects the educational sector's commitment to supporting the Transitional government's peace initiatives. Mr. Sangaré, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Transition authorities, highlighted the importance of such civic initiatives, particularly with the new school year commencing. The High Commissioner noted that these contributions are recorded monthly and could serve as a model for other sectors. The day's events included activities fostering patriotism and civic-mindedness, such as a sanitation day and the promotion of cultural attire like Faso Danfani/koko dunda, along with the dissemination of civic-mindedness messages.
