FADA N'GOURMA: The Basic Education District of Fada N'Gourma 1 convened its first board of directors meeting for the 2024-2025 academic year, focusing on the strategic planning of educational activities. The meeting, held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, marked the start of the school year in the district, despite facing numerous challenges similar to other localities in Burkina Faso. According to Burkina Information Agency, Ahadi Idani, the Head of the Basic Education District of Fada N'Gourma 1, emphasized the importance of management councils in fostering effective human resources management. These councils serve as a vital mechanism for the functioning of educational structures, utilizing dialogue, consultation, and communication as essential tools for leadership. Idani also lauded the efforts of all stakeholders for their progress in 2024. During the meeting, participants reviewed the previous year's activities, identifying shortcomings and discussing future prospects. The district has experienced a grow ing educational demand due to an influx of internally displaced students, leading to concerns about furniture, infrastructure, and textbooks at host schools. Despite these challenges, Idani stressed that no school-age child should be denied education. He assured school directors that the Burkinabe state and its partners are committed to enhancing school conditions to ensure quality education for all. The social partners, representing union structures, expressed approval of the steps taken by the Basic Education District of Fada N'Gourma 1 in preparing for the current academic year.
