Active Forces Visit Agro-Sylvo-Pastoral Farm of His Majesty Naaba Yemd©

Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the province of Kourittenga, Moctar Ilboudo, accompanied by a delegation of constituted bodies, heads of departments, heads of NGOs, associative structures of the province, and many other personalities visited, the agro-sylvo-pastoral farm of His Majesty Naaba Yemd© of Koup©la in Gouri, a village located about ten kilometers from Koup©la on the Koup©la-Tenkodogo axis.

According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the first phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation 2025 edition, the High Commissioner visited the agro-sylvo-pastoral farm of His Majesty Naaba Yemd© in Gouri. The purpose of the visit was to explore the agro-forestry-pastoral activities on the farm and engage with the promoter about agricultural entrepreneurship.

The delegation, led by His Majesty Naaba Yemd©, toured the farm's facilities, including tilapia fish washing stations and fields of corn, rice, sweet potato, and sesame. They also examined various agricultural tools like shredders, weeders, prickers, and seeders, which were designed by the developer.

"This visit, which is part of the first phase of the Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation Days in its second edition, aims to promote local agricultural entrepreneurship initiatives," stated the High Commissioner. He emphasized the farm's agricultural model that employs technology, some of which is designed by His Majesty and recommended for educational purposes.

Additionally, the High Commissioner noted that the farm employs internally displaced persons, aligning with the government's call for an agro-pastoral offensive to improve food sovereignty. He remarked on the investment and model witnessed at the farm, which aims to contribute to local consumption by offering local dishes during the visit.

His Majesty Naaba Yemd© expressed gratitude to the visiting provincial and regional authorities. He also highlighted his efforts in training young people in mechanics and welcomed anyone interested in being trained.
