About 3,000 participants expected at FITA 2023

Nearly 3,000 participants are expected to attend the 6th edition of Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA 2023) Conference. The event is due on May 3-4 in Tunis, the Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) – the main organiser- said on Wednesday.

FITA 2023 will offer the opportunity for Tunisian institutional and economic actors to meet with senior international finance officials and managers of investment funds so as to discuss ways to ease access to funding and reboot the African economy.

The conference is expected to bring together 750 foreign managers from 60 countries as well as 70 exhibitors. It is held at a delicate global economic juncture punctuated by a succession of crises hitting African countries, in particular.

It provides the chance to turn crises into opportunities, put in place financing mechanisms and put forward alternatives to boost inter-African investment and trade.

Various panels will be organised as part of this international event with focus on such themes as energy, sustainable development, digital transformation, infrastructure, water and food security.

About 2,000 participants from 45 countries attended the 5th edition.
