Addis Ababa Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today has discussed with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani in Doha.

Prime Minister Abiy and his delegation are in Doha, Qatar to attend the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5).

During the course of his stay in Qatar, the premier met with Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani.

The two sides have explored bilateral ties and discussed regional issues.

The prime minister said that there are many opportunities for Qatari investments in various sectors in Ethiopia.

“Pleased to meet with Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani today. We have explored our bilateral ties and discussed regional issues. There are many opportunities for Qatari investments in various sectors in Ethiopia,” the PM twitted.

Prime Minister Abiy has also met with His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Father of the Emir of the State of Qatar.

The discussions revolved around supporting social development and investments in Ethiopia, according to office of the prime minister.
