8 Family Members in Namentenga Receive Treatment After Rabid Dog Attack

Namentenga: 8 people from the same family, victims of a rabid dog, have been taken care of since Friday, January 23, 2026, by the provincial directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of Namentenga. A dog certified as rabid by the national laboratory bit 8 people from the same family on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Wagalguin district in sector 1 of Boulsa. According to Burkina Information Agency, five of the eight victims were immediately taken to the Boulsa Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA). The three others, who were less seriously injured, are expected to be treated later.
