Kalat: Pakistani military claimed on Saturday night to have repulsed a terrorist attack at a security check post resulting in the death of six terrorists in Kalat district of Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, stated that a group of terrorists attempted to attack a security forces’ post in the Shah-e-Mardan area of Kalat on Friday night.

According to Namibia Press Agency, an intense exchange of fire followed the attack, resulting in the killing of six terrorists, with four others injured. The military reported that seven soldiers also lost their lives while combating the terrorists.

The forces have launched a clearance operation to remove any remaining terrorist presence in the area.
