5th JNA: The governor of the Eastern region entrusts the maintenance of 60 plants to enarques

The governor of the East region, Colonel Hubert Yaméogo entrusted on Saturday the maintenance of 60 freshly planted plants to 60 residents of the Regional Institute of Administration (IRA).

The governor of the Eastern region, Colonel Hubert Yaméogo chaired the 5th edition of National Tree Day (JNA) this Saturday, July 15, 2023 in Fada N’Gourma.

He underlined that in spite of the efforts of sensitization, training, support advice, the results of the actions of reforestation remain below our expectations.

This is why, reflections have been carried out in order to find an approach which will make it possible to boost reforestation actions in our country, hence the establishment of National Tree Day (JNA), declared Colonel Hubert Yaméogo .

For this 5th edition of the JNA in the region, 60 trees were planted on the site of the Regional Institute of Administration (IRA) of the East in the commune of Fada N’Gourma.

According to the principle that the important thing is not only to plant a tree but also to know how to protect and maintain it, the governor of the Eastern region instructed the regional director of the IRA of Is to assign each tree planted on this site to an Enarque student.

Thus, the first tree planted by Colonel Hubert Yaméogo bears the name of the Enarque student Balkissa Zoundi.

It was a great satisfaction for the IRA to have hosted the holding of this edition of the JNA.

“It is a great joy and a great privilege to have hosted the ceremony of the 5th of the JNA. The IRA has very large but bare ground. Having these trees will allow the enarques to have shade and also fruit,” said the regional director of the Eastern IRA, Rodrigue Sawadogo.

The theme-concept of this 2022-2023 ENAM pedagogical year is commitment. As such, the regional director of the Eastern IRA undertakes to take care of these planted trees.
