Kisii: A total of 4,300 candidates are sitting for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) examinations in Kisii Central Sub-County.
According to Kenya News Agency, Kisii Central Deputy County Commissioner Joseph Mwangi, while speaking to the press after opening the exam container at the County Commissioner's offices in Kisii town, stated that exam papers had been dispatched to 78 public primary schools and 14 private schools in the sub-county.
Mwangi highlighted that exams for KCSE practicals were also being issued, with plans to monitor the progress of the exercise in schools to ensure the integrity of the national exams is maintained.
The DCC urged center managers to be vigilant, emphasizing that teachers' phones must be kept away from exam rooms. He also warned teachers against exam malpractice, noting that the lack of police surveillance this year should not be an excuse to compromise the exams' credibility.
