40-Year-Old Man Dies in Kavango West After Consuming Traditional Liquor Kashipembe

OSHAKATI: A 40-year-old man has died after allegedly consuming a traditional liquor known as Kashipembe at Muzoro village in Kavango West on Monday.

According to NAMPA, Head of Media for the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), an inquest into the matter has been initiated. Kuwinga stated that the man reportedly felt weak after consuming the traditional liquor and later collapsed in his room, where he was found dead.

Kuwinga also noted that another individual who shared the Kashipembe with the deceased appeared to be in good health.

The deceased’s next of kin have not yet been notified about his death.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
