3rd Phase of Angola’s Independence Anniversary Awards Commences in Luanda

Luanda: The 3rd phase of awards for 654 entities, including personalities and groups, who have made significant contributions to Angola’s history, commenced on Wednesday in Luanda. Nationalist Adolfo Nsiakalango was the first recipient, honored with the Commemorative Medal of the 50th anniversary of National Independence in the Independence class by President Joo Lourenço.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the ceremony began with the National Anthem performed by 30 children from the Espaço Aplausos company. The event was also attended by students from various schools in Luanda’s 1st and 2nd cycles, who were invited to be part of the Honor Roll at their educational institutions, recognizing their commitment to their studies.

Ariana André, a young performer from Espaço Aplausos, captivated the audience with performances featuring national and African folklore themes.
