Boulsa Community Rallies in Support of Burkina Faso Transition

BOULSA – On January 13, 2024, the residents of Boulsa, led by the traditional chief, Naba Sonré, held a meeting to express their support for Burkina Faso’s transitional government. The gathering, organized under the guidance of Naba Sonré, was a demonstration of the local community’s commitment to the ongoing efforts for the restoration and safeguarding of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the province’s residents turned out in large numbers, underscoring their support for the transition. The event was marked by an atmosphere of celebration, with dancing and music accompanying the speeches. Key figures, including Seelognaba, representing the head of Boulsa, the communal women’s coordinator, the provincial youth president, and the head of state’s mission manager, addressed the gathering.

Speakers unanimously expressed their gratitude to the Transition and its leader, President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. They recognized the efforts made towards the restoration and safeguarding of Burkina Faso, with a particular emphasis on the Namentenga region. The update and concerns regarding the Boulsa military base were also central topics of discussion during the meeting.

During the event, Ms. Sandouidi Bibiane, the communal women’s coordinator, highlighted the importance of education in preventing the youth’s involvement with terrorist groups. She urged parents to prioritize children’s education within families. Additionally, the speakers addressed the issue of the misuse of social networks, emphasizing the need for responsible usage.

The gathering also served as a platform for the speakers to call upon the population to unite further for the development of the province, blessing and encouraging the government in its endeavors.
