CCCO / Gourcy: The Sahel Community Recovery and Stabilization Project presented to members

Gourcy, (AIB- )-The Communal Consultation Framework (CCCO) of the commune of Gourcy presented on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the Community Project for the Recovery and Stabilization of the Sahel (PCRSS) to these members.

The first 2023 session of the Communal Consultation Framework (CCCO) of the commune of Gourcy was chaired by the president of the special delegation, Bossu Kaba Toé Téré.

The CCCO aims to create a space for inter-partner dialogue to promote complementarities and coordinate responses within the framework of aid programs, in response to the priorities defined by the municipality in terms of harmonious grassroots development.

The members got to know the Community Project for the Recovery and Stabilization of the Sahel (PCRSS) financed by the World Bank to more than 75 billion FCFA.

The project will be implemented in Liptako Gourma, namely Burkina, Mali and Niger, including the Sahel, Center North and North regions for Burkina Faso.

The sectors of agriculture, livestock, environment, education, health, etc. will be affected in the commune of Gourcy according to the presenter Germain Ouédraogo.

Mr. Ouédraogo continued with the second communication which focused on the international municipal cooperation program Belgium Burkina which has existed for a few years with 9 municipalities including that of Gourcy.

The participation of young people and women in bodies and consolidation of peace and the promotion of social cohesion was also the subject of discussion with Danioudou Kouda, expert in crisis prevention and management.

For him, good governance and the fight against corruption can give real hope for take-off and living together.

This CCCO is held particularly in a difficult security context where the municipality of Gourcy encounters difficulties in the management of the humanitarian component.

According to the provincial director in charge of humanitarian action, Ousseyni Nacanabo who presented the situation, many efforts are being made but this remains largely below expectations.

He invited all the social strata who took part in the meeting to get involved in the search for solutions such as the development of a site for the reception of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
