Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Bahrain (Manama) on 20-22 November 2021, in order to participate in the “Manama Dialogue” annual forum (19-21 November 2021).
During his stay in Bahrain, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold a number of bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials of Bahrain.
In particular, he is scheduled to meet on Monday, November 22, with his counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani. Talks are expected to cover mainly bilateral relations, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Gulf region and Libya, as well as Greece’s co-operation with the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Following the aforementioned meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is expected to be received by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
In the course of his stay in Bahrain, and on the sidelines of the “Manama Dialogue” Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is also expected to meet, on Saturday, November 20, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, and then with Israel’s National Security Adviser, Eyal Hulata.
On Sunday, November 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, and then with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi.
On the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the “Manama Dialogue” annual forum (19-21 November 2021) and in particular in the discussion themed: “Conflict Termination in the Wider Region” (November 21).
